1. There are lots of golf schools, so what makes Mind Power Golf Schools special?
As a member of the NPGIA we know that every student has strength, flexibility, dexterity and physical characteristics that make them all different. Our teaching Philosophy is to take each person and use what they have to their greatest advantage. You will never hear a "one method fits all" mentality from our staff of Professionals. Learning is best done in a fun, respectful environment, which describes our school perfectly. Our Professionals know what it takes to teach you in a way that makes you feel special. Each of our Instructors is a successful teacher in his own right, so they know how to bring out the best in you, no matter what your level. Our location in San Diego is a top facility in a beautiful setting. Our pricing is very competitive and we give you a lot for your money. Most important is our main policy: If you don't have a ball and learn what you need to improve your game, we have not done our job. We have great attitudes because we love what we do. At the same time, we take the responsibility of our teaching very personally. The rave reviews we receive in our TESTIMONIALS tell us we are doing it right, however, we never rest when it comes to making our students happy.

2. There is a 2 to 1 Student to Teacher ratio. Will I get enough personalized attention?
Yes! We consider our instructors to be among the best in the business and can easily handle 2 students, which is less than most other schools. If a student wishes to lessen the ratio, we offer a 1 to 1 ratio for an extra fee, where you have your own private instructor throughout the school. This gives our students all the options they need to make their experience memorable.

3. What is included in the price of the school?
Included in the commuter school package prices are four hours of daily on grass range instruction and an on course playing lesson on day three with your Professional, unlimited range use the days of your school, daily slow motion video analysis, and a 20 minute DVD take-home record analysis of your swing, as well as a copy of the book, "MINDPOWER," by school director, Jason Denaro. You may also avail yourself of the clubhouse, snack bar and pro shop services. The Commuter school does NOT include lodging. That is a good option if you are staying with Family or Friends.

4. What is a typical day at the school like?
A typical day is as follows: Meet your Professional at 11AM the first day to get aquatinted, fill out our questionnaire, and then onto to the grass range for class. We teach until 3PM ( yes, we give you rest breaks along the way ) When class is over at around 3PM, you can do whatever you wish, play the Twin Oaks Championship course, tee time permitting and at a low twilight rate, or continue working on the range, go to the putting green, sight see, go to the beach, or the 19th hole. Visit the Outlet Stores or the nearby Restaurant Row. But one thing for sure, you'll sleep well each night after your school.

9. What else do I need to know?
Here are some other helpful tips for you to know.

- If flying in, you will probably fly into San Diego International Airport, Carlsbad Airport, John Wayne Airport, or Los Angeles International Airport, which are all very easy airports to get around. If you did not rent a car, there is an Airport Limo service available at all of these airports. Guest services at each of our suggested Hotels can also help you with these arrangements.
- Even though San Diego is typically one of the warmest areas of the country in the winter, it can still be jacket weather occasionally. Be sure to bring your bathing suit, a hat, sunscreen, and anything else for fun in the sun. San Diego, as a whole, caters to visitors very nicely, so anything you forget can be purchased here.
- Bring your golf clubs if you have them, but if you don't have any, we have top quality rentals available at a very reasonable rate through our Twin Oaks clubhouse pro shop. We like to make sure yours fit anyway, and we will be happy to check that while you're here.
- In the rare event of bad weather, you will be able to attend the class the following day or receive a credit for the rain day to be used within 365 days of the rain day.
- In a rare emergency situation, America's Mind Power Golf Schools reserves the right to substitute a course for the one you are signed up for. For example, If the course you are scheduled to be at has aerated the greens or has a giant tournament going on, we may take you to another course in the area to play. We promise that if this does occur, it will be another beautiful location, and no additional expense to you.
- Commuter schools include: Four hours of intense instruction in a maximum of two golfers per instructor, playing lesson on day three with your Pro, unlimited range use after school, a take home DVD video, and your personalized copy of the manual, "MINDPOWER."
- Be prepared to ask lots of questions and have fun. On your first day of school, we will go over your registration questionnaire that will help us get to know you quickly. Return to top
